What is Midhurst Vision?

We have the power to change the future.

The aim of Midhurst Vision is to bring Midhurst people and organisations together to have a shared vision or strategy for the town and to work together to achieve that.

We are initially focusing on improving Midhurst’s ‘sense of place’ or what is also called ‘placemaking’. This is about how the town looks and feels – so it is more appealing.

Results of Community Survey 2022

An exhibition of some of the placemaking work carried out by landscape architects Deacon Design was on display in the Midhurst Grange Leisure Centre and online between 7 October – 15 November.

A survey took place during this time to gauge opinions of residents and visitors to the proposals. Nearly 600 people completed the survey and you can read the results here.

The community was asked, ‘would you support’:

  • making Midhurst greener and more pedestrian and cycling friendly 86% Yes

  • parking in a car park instead of on the street 67% Yes

  • making the town centre a 20mph zone? 79% Yes
